Clarity and the Father’s Will
Written by a Cafe 1040 Student
Over the past five weeks, we have continued to be immersed in classes, which have been very impactful for me. These classes cover a wide range of topics, which include approaches and strategies of work, healthy ways of handling stress, tools to witness or stir interest, and much more. I feel like I have received so much wisdom from these classes! Most significantly, I have been challenged in my way of thinking about the Father's will.
I don't know if I would have put it quite like this, but my idea of the Father's will had a lot to do with specific decisions: I could choose my way in and out of His will, and it was my job to figure out the one path that He has in mind. This idea has changed through classes and personal reflection - first and foremost, the Father wants me to draw near to Him, and to continue to learn about who He is and who He wants to be to me.
Additionally, I have been able to read the Bible a lot more, since we have much more free time and much fewer distractions. The Father has really been reinforcing the lessons I've been learning in classes through the word. I have been reading through Psalms, as well as Jeremiah and the epistles, and I am constantly brought back to his character and who He is. I have also been doing a lot more reflection, going deeper into the attitudes and beliefs that I have, where they come from, and what areas I need to dig up. Overall, I think that there has been a sense of clarity in my life that is very different than the type of clarity that I thought I needed, and it has been an exciting process.
