Take A Step
Written by a Cafe 1040 student
I recently had a conversation with a missionary in a very large city we visited a week ago. I explained to him about my timid nature and my lack of boldness at times and how both of those qualities stop me in my tracks at times, completely paralyzing me.
I told him that I thought God just wanted me to "take a step."
The man paused for a few seconds and told me to repeat that phrase over and over again. After the fifth time of repeating it he said, “I think you've found your answer my friend. Start taking steps."
I'm learning what it looks like to take steps (sometimes baby steps) and live a life unafraid and unshaken by where the Father may lead me.
I'm so thankful for how He's refining me in this way.
“Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many. I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness. When you walk, your step will not be hampered, if you run, you will not stumble.” Proverbs 4:10-12
