One thing the Father has been teaching me is a deeper understanding of what it means to abide in Him, to lean and trust in Him deeper and to worship Him in all things, in the good and bad.
The greatest desire He has is for His name to be lifted high and glorified among all nations, tribes, and tongues. He is showing me that I am truly weak apart from Him and that I do not have the power or strength to do the overwhelming job that needs to be done in regards to hearts and lives coming to know Him. He alone holds the power to change those hearts and lives and He is gracious enough to allow me to join in that work with Him. Not relying on my own strength of that work, but I must hold fast to the truths of His promises. I don’t need to fear anything because He alone already holds the victory. He truly is beyond worthy of all our praise.
Last week, we had a homestay with a local family last week. The entire family, grandmother/grandfather, father/mother, nieces/nephews, aunts/uncles, and children all live in one place. This family is, without a doubt, one of the most hospitable, kind, and loving families I have met. Hospitality seems to be the trend for many families we have met here in South Asia, which is something I hope to continue to remember and also do with anyone that may entire my home one day.
This family is Muslim and is very devoted to that religion. The time spent at their house was very eye-opening in many ways and I would say, as a team, we learned a lot. We experienced the weight of spiritual darkness and the blindness that the people of South Asia have in regards to the one true Father.
The Father did graciously give our team an opportunity to speak with this family about the Good News and it was very evident that the Holy Spirit is at work in their lives. There are still many questions they have and are still blinded to the truth and it rang more true to our team, that despite any words we say or "good answers" we give that our words can't change hearts and that its truly up to the Father to do that work.
So, I ask you to join in praying with us to intercede for this family. Pray that the Holy Spirit would continue to work in that home and for this family to ultimately come to know the one true Father and give their devotion and worship to the one who is truly worthy.
